Cake pops how much candy melts

So i pulled up your video and played it for them. We loved your tutorial and your humor fit right in with ours.

The pops came out great, the girls had so much fun. Thanks for sharing! I think I would have made the same mistake!!!!! It should work much better and have less effect on the consistency of the chocolate. This help alot. Am a new baker just got an office. Super easy. What brand of chocolate frosting did you use?

Thanks for tutorial this makes so much more sense. Getting started. Thanks so much! That video really helped???? Thanks for the video! Thank you for taking the time to do this. I just wanted to know if you ever used a baby cake pop make.

Thank you for putting this tutorial on line. Thank you for putting this together. I have to make at least a dozen cake pops for teacher appreciation week next week and plan on doing this.

Cake pops came out perfect every time. Thank you, soo much Monique for the amazing tutorials. Monique, this is a super guide to perfect cake pops! I made them easily and loved them a lot!

Fun to make! Would love to try this recipe- you make it look so easy!!! How far in advance can I make them? Best cake balls! I like how they are not mushy at all and very fluffy like she said. I read one recipe that said to add HALF an icing container. Big hit with my boyfriend and family. They thought it was store bought.

Awesome video and tips, thank you so much! Thanks for making these easy and simple. Great tips!!! I just made cake pops for the first time this past weekend, but I used a cake-pop silicone mold. That way, I started out with the little pops already in balls, I did not have to crumble the cake and incorporate icing. They baked perfectly, melt in your mouth, like a tiny piece of cake. And then I dipped them into the white chocolate.

Because I was experimenting, out of curiosity I took about 10 of the cake pops and crumbled them into a little bowl, added a tad of icing to roll them like the balls you make. Put them in freezer, then dipped them into the melted chocolate. To my taste, they were very very sweet. Also, I use food gloves whenever I have to mix ingredients together, makes it so much easier than getting everything all over my hands, under my nails, etc.

But now that I have seen your video, I might try this method the next time, I definitely need a deeper bowl for the chocolate. Thanks for the great instruction! I do have one question. Would it be possible to switch out the frosting for pudding?

So easy and fun. Making these for our Superbowl party. Funny, kitchen savvy and beautiful. So glad I stumbled onto your blog! Cake pops are so fun to make! Thanks for reminding me how to make these things though! Is there a particular homemade cake mix preferable for making cake pop. Hard for me still but fun to make! This recipe worked out very well. You can go to my blog for different kinds.

So I fell upon this recipe looking for a recipe and decided to give this one a shot. Thank you:! Will this work with homemade pound cake preferable the 5 flavor or the whipping cream pound cake? I rather homemade as opposed to box cake…. Can i store already made cake pops in the frig overnight?

Great video! I love your sense of humor! So helpful! Cake pops turned out great! Thanks for the caution on the amount of frosting to use in the mix. I made 3 colrs of cake mix, crumbled each individually, then mixed them together with the frosting.

I then made the balls, they looked great with the color combo. Did the dip and the decorating, my guests did the devouring! Something to try, made it less crazy sweet… I used softened slightly warmed cream cheese instead of frosting. Very good! This recipe was amazing! The only thing I thought that was a little off was the freezer time. My cakes needed around 40 minutes. Not sure if that was just my freezer or… Otherwise, love the rich flavor of them and how peppy Monique was! I give it a 5 star.

I am so excited to make these! Having a bunch of girls over and thought it would be a fun treat!! Your recipe seems really easy and the best so far! Thanks again!! Trying these for my daughters day tmw. Looks sooo nice and easy! Thanks for doing a great tutorial! I had never made them before but wanted to do them for my husband for work. I had seen them dipped in black candy melts with a blue line. I was really nervous about how they would turn out, because bad cake pops are just awful, but everyone loved them!!

Is it better to mix cake and icing when cake is fresh out of oven, or wait until cake cools a bit to mix in icing? Thank you so much for the video it was super helpful. I appreciated that you were willing to share what you had learned so that I did not have to make the same mistakes!!

Love the video! Questions: if you make the cake pops the day before for an event, party etc. And how would you store it? Thank you so much for your redipe and video! My daughter and I are making cake pops for the first time tomorrow, and we feel so much better prepared now! Yikes, disaster in cake pop land! We got as far as the cake balls and milk chocolate as the glue to hold in the sticks.

We decided to use milk chocolate chips to melt as our coating. Was that a huge mistake? First, we tried to melt the chocolate in a deep red plastic cup, in the micro: do not do this. Plastic melted, big mess, lost a bag of pricy choc chips. Next we did it in a deep glass, looking good. But when we dipped the cake pop in, the thick gooey melted milk chocolate held tight to the ball and it came off the stick, then broke up a bit.

Next we tried to melt the milk chocolate more so it might be thinner? Next mistake. The chocolate seized up and became chocolate rocks in the glass. Headed to the store. Probably will get the exact white chocolate you used with such success.

We want those pretty pops!! My daughter wants to bring them to preschool tomorrow. This is really a nice recipe. I am making a wedding cake today that will have lots of trimming cut off of it for a special shape.

I wanted to do something with the pieces, and this is ideal. I have made cake pops before, but they were so clunky and icky, I did not like making them. The idea of using a deep cup and the chocolate like that makes this a real snap. A tip for coloring these, if you are not a candy melts fan: colored sugar crystals do a fairly decent job of it.

Have a shaker full, and just shake it on a warm pop over a big bowl; you can keep putting the sugar back in the shaker until you have used it up. Can I make and freeze them ahead of party time say a week. Then defrost and decorate happy faces? I am trying it out this evening! Loved your video thank you. Loved ur commentary. Made watching a whole lot more exciting, intriguing and easy to understand and relate.

Just watched your video, my grand kids and I made the cake pops, but we used Chocolate cake, chocolate icing and chocolate candy with colored sprinkles, they came out great we all ate them up… thanks much it was so easy to make!!

Yes they will work to anything like cake-ish. Totally would work. Then dip in whole chocolate and sprinkle chopped candy cane or chopped up andies mints. Mine is a question what If your making it the day before a party or something can I store it in a freezer? Thank u I really enjoy this. For example I made some and decorated them with an icing pen.

I kept them in the freezer overnight and as they begin to thaw out the condensation messed up the design. Excellent huge! My hubby and I will make them with the leftover cake from a red-white-blue cake that I was on another site.

My granddaughter and I loved your video on cake pops! We are making some tomorrow for a birthday present! Also I want to try using brownie mix sometime, with a very small amount of icing and another add in. Thanks a bunch. You are too cute:. Love the video!! Thank you so much!

I did just to be safe. I HATE cake pops, they all tasted just grainy and gross to me. I saw this tutorial and I totally will be making these for my Graduates Open House.

How far ahead can I make the cake balls and freeze and just coat and decorate the day before? Super easy and I enjoyed watching your step by step video. Enjoyed the video! You are funny and make it look so easy! I can not waaaait to try this out…. Thanks for the video!! How much was all of this because my daughter is turning 13 and she want a big party.

I love cake pops, but after decorated , these cakepops need to be keep in the refrigerator? Cause I live in Asian, the weather here quite hot???? Just stumbled on this site by chance…. Love your recipes and tips. All the best. Instructions were perfect!

Thanks for your help. The recipe was really amazing! Well when u put the top of the with frosting and put in the ball put the ball in a way where the ball will stick to the frosting and stick to the stick. Hope this helped! I poke a hole in the cake pop with the stick first, not quite half way then dip the stick in the candy melts before putting in back in.

Let the pop sit for a few minutes before dipping. Hope this helps! Try dipping the sticks into the melted candy and then into the cake. Then stick them in the fridge for a little while before you actually dip into the coating.

Let them freeze when u make the balls so they will harden a little and then dip them in the chocolate hope this helped. Until it gets moldy I guess!! I want to make these ahead for event that is coming up. How long in advance can these be made and kept in the freezer? Will the quality be compromised? Anyone know how long these will keep for?

I would love to do them for my sons frst birthday and maybe but I would want to make them ahead of time. OMG I loved your video! I had already messed up one cake mix….. Way too much! Maybe they like then VERY moist. I also liked that you showed the best consistency after just adding 2 spoons of frosting to half a cake… To still be crumbly and to put them into the freezer for 20 minutes to help set.

Try applesauce in your cake instead of oil. Amazing, thanks! Loved your tutorial! Clear, but entertaining!

This was the first video I stumbled upon and it is wonderful!!! Thank you for the tutorial! I also have to add that you are so adorable! I giggled a few times and appreciate your spunk???? Thanks again lady! I had a pinterest fail with my cake pops this weekend, but I will not let it beat me!!! I found your video this morning ugg 1 day too late putting the sticks in and freezing would have totally saves the day!!!

This tutorial helped a lot.. Does anyone else have a problem with oil coming out of them like the next day? Or does anyone know how to fix this problem? That might help. I wish I had found your tutorial sooner!

I definitely put way too much frosting! My cake balls slid all the way down their sticks like cake puddles. I will try your way next time for sure! Yours are so pretty!

That was great. Cleared up some questions. I rely liked it and so did the rest of my famely. You nailed it!!! These were awesome, I use to hate cake pops becuz of the chewed up taste, but mine came out FAB!!!!! Thank you so much for the video. My daughter and I really enjoyed it. It kept falling off the stick. We improvised but they were not as pretty. Where did we go wrong? I think putting them in the fridge is a better idea, when you dip them in chocolate after freezing them, I find the chocolate starts to crack when the cake pops are thawing.

How do you melt the white chocolate? I cannot figure out how to really melt the chocolate, or do you just blend it and that makes it look melted? You melt it in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds then stir. Do another 15 to 20 second until melted and creamy. U can also use a double broiler on the stove. Awesome recipe! Quick question though, do you have any experience with freezing these? Or putting them in a fridge? I want to make these for Christmas presents but the time between person Im giving them to is spread out.

Or I guess, do you know the shelf life of them? You are hilarious! I was laughing all through your video and you gave some awesome tips! Thank you, for teaching me how to make the perfect cake pop. I love your video! You got straight to the point, exactly what I needed, and had a little spunk.

I would like to ask do we need to temper our chocolate before dipping? Beautiful and easy recipe Thanks a million. I dont know what kind of food coloring you used but you should never put water based food coloring in chocolate.

The water causes the chocolate to seize up. This is why you have to be careful when you use a double boiler method to melt chocolate to prevent any water from getting in. If anyone does want to color their chocolate there is candy coloring which is oil based and will not affect the chocolate negatively. Very helpful upbeat n positive. Greetings from Norway! Thanks for the video, the pops look so good. I found you need a lot of chocolate.

Thank you so much for the tutorial. Easy to follow and very simple. How long can I keep in freezer for? Video was awesome! Love the little notes and the fact that you described the texture and feel of the mixture. Thank you for the very thorough and informative tutorial. Very helpful information! These look so easy and so delish! Just wondering- how far in advance can you make these or how long do they stay ok before serving? Also, how do you store them if not giving them away in gift bags?

I tried your idea, but I bought a store baked pound cake and the dipping chocolate cups. Omg, I made 16 from half a cake. They were delicious. Thanks for your tips. Once the cake pops are done can you freeze them or how long can they last in the fridge? Want to make some for a party but need to do them about a week before.

This is amazing!!! You are a beast teacher every thing easy to understand. I used a cake pop maker today, to make… Well, cake pops. I forgot to buy cake pop sticks, so I used my extra long tooth picks. They were being eaten by my family anyways… So… Well. I make my box cake mixes using a can of soda, rather than eggs, oil and water!!!

Does that matter?? I like your video tutorial better than others I have seen!!! So thank you!!!! Becca, you mentioned that you use soda instead of the oil, eggs and water for your box mixes. Can you elaborate a bit more for me please?

Followed directions but when inserting pop sticks most of the cake broke apart. Also the chocolate when melted got mushy and there was no dipping allowed. If you feel that the ball is too soft, leaving the cake balls in the freezer for about 2 hours will harden them up suffiencently enough when you need to put the stick. With chocolate which is trickier in my opinion , keeping the chocolate on low heat over another pot of water when dipping helps keep it smooth.

Also when you put the stick, dip a little into the candy melt or chocolate first and then place it in the cake ball. I made of these for a fundrasiser and the sold out in 10 minutes!!! All my friends beg me to make these all the time now!

Thanks, I was just getting ready to freak out trying to make cake pops for the first when I came across your blog. I can do that! Thanks for the tutorial.

Very easy and simple. So I made them with red velvet cake and cream cheese icing and only used the white chocolate to hold the sticks. Then we rolled them in red sugar. I think powdered sugar would also work.

They were very tasty and a fast option. Thanks for all the help! Great video. Your video has given me the confidence to make them myself. Thank you very much. I am going to attempt these for a second time.

Just like your first experience, my first time trying them were a big disappointment. I think my hand was a bit heavy with frosting…. Thank you so much for posting this. I only have one question…how long do they keep before you have to get rid of them? Hey I love ur cooking tips. I know I would watch it and thanks for this recipe I love it. You ROCK!! Thanks for this recipe!! Take 2. If it so, I have to save them in the fridge or out of it? Keep up the great work!!

This is an amazing recipe and they turn out great. I make mine with white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate coating. This recipe was amazing. Seriously the tutorial and the recipe…they come out great everytime! Great tip about the frosting!! Thank you so much for this :.

Makes great cake balls then all you have to do is dip them in candy coating. Loved this recipe! Just make cake pops for the first time and they turned out pretty nice! I rushed and skipped the step to put the sticks in chocolate before putting them into the balls.. Thanks for the great tutorial! One question… if you are freezing the cake pops for 20 minutes after having melting the chocolate to coat the sticks, how do you keep the melted chocolate from getting hard during the twenty minutes you wait before dipping the cake pops?

I read the Crisco comment. I have not watched the tutorial yet. Please advise. I just want to stop by and say I really like your site and your video about how to make cake pops the easy way. Thanks again. They were awsome!! Great recipe.. Can these be made in advance and if so how far in advance and how should they be stored? Thank you for this great blog recipe and video!! I made an awesome batch of cake pops for my daughters birthday!!

The cake balls held together very well but I never could get the dipping to work. No matter what I tried, it was too thick and most of the cake balls came off the stick.

The white chocolate was very thick and when eaten, all you could taste was the icing. Any tips about melting and dipping into the white chocolate would be very helpful. I have been making these for years and the trick to getting the right consistency for the dipping chocolate is to thin with solid Crisco or your choice of shortening. After you have melted the chocolate and decide that you need it thinner, just add a teaspoon of Crisco while the chocolate is still hot and stir until Crisco is melted.

Continue to add Crisco a little at a time until you get the consistency you want. Hope this helps. How much total Crisco shorting to be added to the melted chocolate?? Thanks for a fun and informative tutorial. Now I know where to buy my supplies too. Use shortening, such as Crisco, to thin the chocolate. I use TBSP. This was very helpful! Thank you for your tips. Once without your tips I used too much icing and many of the pops fell off the sticks during the coating stage and once after reading your page.

I used a stand mixer with a dough hook to crumble the cake both times. The last time I think I ran it too long — the cake came out a little too doughy.

I also used confetti cake and blue raspberry icing. As a side note, the first time I used Wilton candy melts. The second time I was at the supermarket and just bought Toll House white chocolate chips. They worked just as well as the Wilton. So I was thinking about making these for my wedding but letting people decorate themselves. I had plans of having a chocolate fountain and they could just dip them.

Would that work? Wow I was going to order some for my sons graduation now I may try it myself! They are charging a dozen! Thank you so much for your wonderful video and recipe on making cake pops!

Thankyou so much for this video and recipe they made my cake pop experience so easy! I made a chocolate cake in the thermomix and just bought some Betty Crocker frosting. I followed your advice on the frosting and my cake pops turned out awesome! Thanks Diva! I tried mine with white cake as that was all I had in the house. Thank you for the fun tutorial which was entreating and informative. You go girl. I wasted money buying the cake pop molds and other molds, plus I have the wrong type of icing.

I will buy some chocolate melts like the one you used. I hope my experience is as successful as yours! Random thought have you ever used the baby cakes, cake pop machine? Awesome how to video. Best cake pops ever!!! Second time making them. Simple, easy and delicious!

Thank you for this simply delicious simple recipe! Like so many others who posted here, i tried them tonight and found that the chocolate microwaved and pops swirled just like in video caused several pops to separate from their sticks.

Once the pop has fallen off in the chocolate container, most of the chocolate is ruined because now I am fishing out a pop and it broke apart. Also, out of 2 full bars of the bakers chocolate you featured, I only got 10 pops frosted.

What I would really love to know is the following: how long can you freeze them, what happens when they are served on a hot July day, and how to prevent the sweating when moving from freezer to room temp to serving.

This was my first attempt at cake pops and they turned out amazing, thanks to your recipe and great tutorial! I look forward to trying out more of your recipes! You must use candy dye. Thanks for sharing this tutorial. Been looking for recipe on cake pops and so happy to find your version manageable to follow. Thought I could make these from memory, failed miserably, until I read the directions line by line and they ended up looking just like the picture, added some pretzel sticks dipped and decorated as well.

Will make these again, thanks. Love love LOVE the tutorial! My first time making cake pops. Very helpful. I am going to try these for Easter but shape them like eggs and decorte accordingly. What a wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much for the clear, simple directions — and your tips are bang on.

I have made these successfully in the past but was looking to share a video for a friend and this one is perfect. Well done! I love your tutorials, recipes, attitude, everything! Like omg! This is the best recipe hands down, I made 60 of them for a bake sale everyone loved them.

We are having a mini Thanksgiving with friends, and I thought I would spice things up a bit. I am going to use red velvet cake and white chocolate for mine. Thanks again for the tutorial and recipe! These were sooooooo good and sooooo easy!!!! Thank you for the great recipe and tutorial. I used Ghiradelli melting wafers because I hate chopping up chocolate bars — very yummy!

Excellent tip about using a tall, narrow dipping container too — I used a regular drinking glass. Nothing but compliments on these at the baby shower, and not a one left!!

I made these and they were delicious but after freezing them for 1 hour or more and taking them out of the freezer they started to soften and fall off the stick. What am I doing wrong. This looks so easy now.. Love your site! SO I thought, hey, why not cake pops? Fingers crossed for no disasters tonight. Thanks for the recipe and I will send you a follow-up message when I am finished. My wife and I had our sixth anniversary on October 19th and when I looked up the significance of six years, it is either iron or sweetness.

After reading the recipe and watching the video I made these in less than an hour and surprised her as she was not home at the time. I baked a red velvet cake but forgot to buy frosting so I made my own using powdered sugar, butter and instead of milk I used French vanilla coffee creamer. They were awesome if I say so myself. Even a guy can make cake pops with this recipe!

Great easy recipe. On the white chocolate note it hardened because of the food coloring. You said you used bakers brand white chocolate anything with the coco butter will seize up if liquid is added even just one tiny drop of water. Use meltaways and use bakers food coloring it has oil in it so can be added to chocolates and will not cause it to seize as will regular food coloring. Trying to find if anyone has tried using flavored syrups to flavor cake pops ie torani syrup since they have so many flavors.

OMG this is the best!!! I personally tried doing this and it was an EPIC fail! I over did the damn frosting, bought the wrong chocolate, so on and so forth. I must get this right.

Just wondering if the cake pops can be made ahead of time and frozen? I will be making gender reveal pops with this recipe for sure! You are so fun and adorable! You are wonderful! I will be subscribing for sure. Thank you for this tutorial especially. I promised my daughters we would make them, before I knew what went into it. Now we will be going into this with confidence, thanks to you :.

I just spent 4 hours making pops and it was a total FAIL cos I used Wilton Melting Candy and I could not for the life of me get it to the right consistency where you could dip it. Very disappointed, they look awful, I basically had to ice them! I had high hopes. Thanks for posting this. Ur video was fantastic. U are too cute! Looks really cool. This made making Cake Pops a whole lot easier. Hey there thanks so much for the video it really helped.

I love the cup idea for the frosting!! My daughter and I are going to try the frosting idea. Oh by the way we love your personality. Perfect balance of sassy and sweet. Blessing Annette. Just happened to come upon your video and I loved it! I had some of these cake balls for the first time a week ago and was addicted. I cant wait to get home and try your recipe! Thanks for posting!! Thank you to upload this video.

Cooking is fun, Yes!. Thanks for this simple instruction for cake pops! This was my first time visiting your site, and it will definitely not be my last!

Love you! Love your personality! Hi, love the video. I am going to try these cakepops. I am going to make centrepieces for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. My question is this: Can these be frozen for about two weeks? Thanks Annette. My chocolate started getting hard after my first two pops. I used the exact same chocolate as in your video. Where did I go wrong? How many Chocolate baking bars do you need and how to you reheat when you need more? I was looking how to make cake pops i thought they were dificult to make but it is soo easy the way you shown thank you very much!!!!

Now I can make some cake pops for my girls birthday!!!! You built up my confidence to make these, love your personality! Girl, you saved my bacon….. I am a great baker, but have never made these….. I can now make my customers very happy. Keep your vids coming. Thank you for all of the helpful tips! I made these for my Husbands Co-Workers and they were a hit!! Then I came across your video, sooooo funny. I followed all your tips and they turned out great on my first try!!!

Got so many compliments. Thank you for posting this video. Katie — age Oh my goodness I love you already!! Thank you for posting this! I am helping a friends little girl with her school project. You did an awesome job explaining and it looks so easy! Will be trying to make them this weekend. Great tips!! Thank you so much for this recipe! It helped so much! My sister and I tried these last night and followed your instructions — they were awesome!

It was our first attempt at cake pops and they turned out great. Quick Question: What size stick did you use? Also like Yvonne said on march 17 will they sweat? Oh my gosh! Thanks so much for the video and the instructions. You made me laugh, too! I also provide cards for businesses to send to their customers.

Love your video. Can wait! Is it possible to prepare these and freeze them for later use? Love the video, soo cute! Thank you so much!!!

I have tried all sorts of recipes but this one works! Hi, I am going to be making your cake pops for the first time for a party. How far in advance do you think I can make them and how would you recommend storing them? When using styrofoam, I cut it in whatever shape matches the theme.

The latest was a heart. Next one will be a three-tiered shamrock for St. The cake pops are made of white and chocolate cake and icing. They are then dipped in either dark or milk chocolate.

Since these are for spring, I will dip them in white chocolate before decorating. The various decorations such as candy pearls, sprinkles, nuts, etc.

Some will also get a drizzle of additional chocolate and the add a light sprinkle of sea salt. Place these treats in the styrofoam, replacing as needed I always make extras to fill in the empty gaps. A perfect little sweet bite. Thank you for this, I had absolutely no idea how to make these. Good job!!! What frosting did you use? This is just fine and what you want to happen. Repeat until all cake balls have sticks, and place in the freezer for 15 minutes.

You may have to reheat your candy melts a little bit start with 20 seconds on MEDIUM power , but do not work with hot melts! As long as you are able to stir your melts and they seem to still be in a fairly viscous state, reheating is not necessary.

Side note… Please excuse my blurry photos below. Turns out that even using a tripod, it is quite difficult to get action shots when you are constantly moving your photographic subject. I have a habit of tilting my bowl, but this is just the way I prefer to do it and find it makes things easier. Work quickly, as leaving the cake ball in the melts too long is a good way to lose it from the stick!

Lift the cake ball out of the melts and slowly twirl the stick to allow the excess to drip off. Pull the cake pop to the edge of the bowl and, while still twirling slowly, allow the bowl to scrape the excess from where the stick meets the pop. You may place your finished cake pops on your second baking sheet which will make their tops a bit flat OR you may do what I did here and allow them to dry right side up in a tall glass.

I have also used a large styrofoam block which is a super easy way to allow several cake pops to dry at once. Package them up in plastic goodie bags or serve them as is on a plate or platter. I stated above that if your candy melts are too hot and your cake balls are too cold, there will be earthquake city all over the surface of your cake pop.

This particular ball was in the freezer for a half an hour. Plus, my candy coating was very hot. I did this on purpose so I could take a photo. If your balls are in the freezer for longer than 15 minutes, allow them to sit at room temperature for a few more minutes before dipping. How to avoid this: cover all surfaces of the cake. Get in and get out! If it bothers you, use a cake that is less oily, and be sure not to use too much frosting.

There is a lot of butter involved in frosting especially homemade. I hope you feel well-versed in cake pops now and will try making my easy cake pops recipe yourself!

Seriously simple! Practice makes perfect, and I still have mess ups here and there. So put on some tunes, relax, maybe grab a little liquid courage, and get to cake popping. Store cake pops at room temperature or in the fridge.

They stay fresh at room temperature up to 2 weeks. In the fridge, they will stay fresh for 3 weeks. Need another way to use up leftover cake and frosting? Consider my birthday cake ice cream!

Would tonight or tomorrow night be too early to make these? If I store them in an air tight container, would they stay fresh enough for Saturday?

Appreciate your assistance! Hi, Keri! How did they turn out? Would love to see a picture of them! Thanks my name is lauren. I dunk them and pull them up then as the candy melt coating is sliding off which is normal to get the excess off the coating actually looks as if its separating. The best word I can use is shifting. Like the plates of the planet! It leaves the end result with lines and bumps.

Did I over heat my chocolate or is it too hot? Is the chocolate too loose? The melts never ceased I use a double boiler approach with a glass bowl. Hey, Lisa! The other is that 2 are you using chocolate chips?

Something with a stabilizer in it? That can sometimes mess with the fluidity of chocolate. Let me know! I found there were cooler spots causing the shifting. Once I realized this and adjusted for it making my melts the same temp throughout using the glass bowl double boiler the shifting stopped.

Hope that helps you! Any question I had was answered. If you follow her steps, you end up with flawless cake pops. At my own fault, my first batch I left out of the freezer too long and they ended up falling off the sticks when I dipped them in melting chocolate. I salvaged them but the second batch was perfection! Everytime I make upside down cake pops the cake shows through the bottom.
